What exactly is 2012? Doomsday? End of the world? Will it actually happen? I don't believe that. I think it's all a myth. Only God knows the date & the time when world's going to end......
The year 2012 is referring to the last year of the Long Count Maya calendar. The current Great Cycle, as the Mayas call it, is set to end on the winter solstice of 2012: December 21 2012 and many people believe that on that date, the world will change and never be the same. Some predict terrible events resulting in the destruction of our world and some predict that it won’t necessarily end, but that we will enter a new era and massive changes will occur.
The disaster movie 2012 by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow) tells about when a global cataclysm thrusts the world into chaos, divorced writer and father Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) uses his knowledge of the ancient prophecies to ensure that the his family & human race is not completely wiped out. Also starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Amanda Peet, Thandie Newton, and Oliver Platt round out the cast of this end-of-the-world thriller co-scripted by the director and his 10,000 B.C. writer/composer, Harald Kloser. ~ Jason Buchanan
I would not say that this is a bad movie..the effect was superb but it just that the logic is not applicable for this movie. The ending was not ended as what i had expected to be. After all at least i think it was worthwhile of money for a 3 hours long movie..No.1 complainer Mr.Sim started to complain about the numbness he was feeling on his ass for sitting too long for the movie..lolzzzz...Still thinks Transformer is the best!
